The space
Set in 70 acres of beautiful parkland, The Cotswold Manor Estate is a superb venue for family and friends celebrations.Our properties all include a private garden with exclusive use of a hot-tub, picnic tables and BBQs. Each is uniquely designed and converted to ensure all guests can dine and socialize together.Guests have shared use of our popular Games Barn, which includes pool table, table tennis, air-hockey, table football and numerous sports equipment.The parkland has three wildlife ponds, streams, vineyard, orchard and a bluebell wood. Large, closely mown fields can be used for a number of activities including Zorbing, archery, Laser clay pigeon shooting (laser not shot), personal trainers, ball sports, team building activities and more.A perimeter walk of nearly 3 miles has been created, and those interested in wildlife will be delighted to see Barn, Little and Tawny Owls, Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, Kestrels and Red Kites. Invergare Castle is both formal and welcoming. Staying in this house you will experience the golden age of British architecture – Victorian Scotland – with all its charms!The house sits in the conservation village of Rhu with beautiful views over the Clyde and beyond to Argyll.Situated at the start of the highland train line it’s possible to take day trips to Oban and Fort William or if you fancy, day trips to Glasgow or Edinburgh by train.It is no more than 5 minutes over the hill to all of Loch Lomond. A ten minute drive to the village of Luss and 10 minutes to Cameron House for fine dining at Martin Wishart’s newest restaurant.Over the hill are some of the finest golf courses in Scotland- the world-renowned Loch Lomond course and the Carrick. Maesbrook Cottage has disabled access with 2 rooms and a disabled friendly bathroom. It sleeps 6. It also has its own living room and fully equipped kitchen. The Club Room has a large kitchen, seated dining for 30, and sports and leisure facilities.There is the hot tub and separate showers and toilets for campers.The third cottage on the farm sleeps 6, ask the host about its availability as this can be booked for an additional fee.

The space
Beggars Barn is set in a valley just outside the village of Shutford, is a beautifully renovated country residence set in 3.5 acres of land, featuring an 18-metre-long heated swimming pool (heated April to mid Oct), hot tub, Arctic cabin with internal BBQ, games/cinema room with large screen TV, plenty of seating and 6ft snooker/pool table, table tennis, separate gym and beautifully maintained gardens. The house consists of a very large kitchen with fitted Smallbone kitchen, with large dining area leading to a snug. All the crockery and glassware is Villeroy & Boch or Wedgewood. There is a stylish drawing room with large open fire place with interconnecting doors opening into the dining room with a table that seats up to 16, within the dining room is a music area with Yamaha piano. The main living area of the house has marble tiled flooring throughout and a sound system. The bedrooms include two master suites with Super King size beds (one is zip and link), dressing areas and bathrooms, there are 2 double rooms with Super King (or twin beds) by the family bathroom, a Super King or Twin bed in the downstairs bedroom, and another ensuite bedroom with Super King or Twin in the main house.In the Summer House, there is a double bedroom and a twin bedded bedroom that share a new bathroom. The Summer House has a lounge/dining/kitchen area. It is located by the pool which is about 50 meters from the main house. There is a pool house which also contains a small gym which has a Nordic elliptical (3in1) cross trainer, rower, vibration plate and weights. Widcombe Grange is a lovely, large Victorian stone built house and cottage sleeping 24 guests in 12 bedrooms. It’s an excellent house for a large group to stay in comfort, with space to be together to dine, cook, play and have fun. It’s set in 23 acres of stunning landscaped grounds with woodlands, lakes, orchard and paddocks. The heated swimming pool is open May – September in the walled garden where there are loungers and picnic benches – there is a hot tub in the courtyard for all year round enjoyment. There are 7 bedrooms in the main house for 14 guests and 5 bedrooms in the cottage for 10 guests. All the ground floor rooms in the main house are large enough for your whole group to enjoy and socialise together. The dining table seats 24 in comfort and is wonderful for a celebration dinner.The coach house is a great games room with table tennis, pool table and table football – it is also ideal for after dinner dancing for a large group of friends or family. It is also licensed for weddings along with the pergola outside on the ornamental pond.

The space
Widcombe Grange is a wonderful big house that’s great for groups with lots of entertaining space inside the house and loads of space outside in the 23 acres for activities & fun. The swimming pool is a lovely focal point in the walled garden, where you can have a barbecue too, or play games on the adjoining lawn. The hot tub in the courtyard by the house is a delightful spot for relaxing and chatting with friends and family.There are 2 lakes, one with a waterside pergola and the other (larger) lake has a rowing boat. We are able to arrange catering and activities for you during your stay, if you want to make it extra special. The space
The history of the house stems from the Quaker origins of a large west country mill owners family. The house also shows the families early associations with banking, mountaineering, ski-ing, and railways. First built by Thomas Fox in 1797, currently owned by Ben & Victoria Fox, it has been enjoyed by the Big House Company guests for 25 years. The history of the house has been blended into a delightful space for groups to enjoy time together with 2 large dining rooms, 2 sitting rooms, a games room and a party room.

Guests have sole use of the house and grounds. We have a small office onsite, manned during the week, so that we can provide information and assistance if required.

The space
A perfect retreat, Crayke Manor is regarded by many locals as the most beautiful home in the County. Not only the cosiness and solidness of the Manor itself but the way it proudly sits in its 17 acre surroundings. Near enough to the nearby village to stroll to the pub and far away enough to have ones own privacy and tranquility.

Getting in:
Guests can have access to the 1 acre garden, 16 acres of grounds and the stables. Whilst the Manor contains 9 x bedrooms, it can feel just as cosy and welcoming when only a few of the bedrooms (say on 1st floor only) are occupied. For larger groups, there is also a 1-bed cottage (sleeps 2) and a 3-bed cottage (sleeps 6-10) on-site as additional options (not included). Please note that use of the covered barn for an event warrants an extra charge -please request further information.

Extra bits:
Guests have enjoyed tailoring the occasion to suit their tastes; dressing-up the covered barn, erecting marquees on the lawns etc. Should you wish to come and visit the Manor prior to any booking, you are most welcome to do so. We should advise you, however, that parties and events are not allowed.
