Beggars Barn is a beautiful country house set in 3.5 acres in Oxfordshire, near Banbury. The space
Beggars Barn is set in a valley just outside the village of Shutford, is a beautifully renovated country residence set in 3.5 acres of land, featuring an 18-metre-long heated swimming pool (heated April to mid Oct), hot tub, Arctic cabin with internal BBQ, games/cinema room with large screen TV, plenty of seating and 6ft snooker/pool table, table tennis, separate gym and beautifully maintained gardens. The house consists of a very large kitchen with fitted Smallbone kitchen, with large dining area leading to a snug. All the crockery and glassware is Villeroy & Boch or Wedgewood. There is a stylish drawing room with large open fire place with interconnecting doors opening into the dining room with a table that seats up to 16, within the dining room is a music area with Yamaha piano. The main living area of the house has marble tiled flooring throughout and a sound system. The bedrooms include two master suites with Super King size beds (one is zip and link), dressing areas and bathrooms, there are 2 double rooms with Super King (or twin beds) by the family bathroom, a Super King or Twin bed in the downstairs bedroom, and another ensuite bedroom with Super King or Twin in the main house.In the Summer House, there is a double bedroom and a twin bedded bedroom that share a new bathroom. The Summer House has a lounge/dining/kitchen area. It is located by the pool which is about 50 meters from the main house. There is a pool house which also contains a small gym which has a Nordic elliptical (3in1) cross trainer, rower, vibration plate and weights. The outdoor living space has huge sofa suites, large fire pit which is also a wood BBQ, gas fired BBQ plate, 1m round paella dish (gas), large sun umbrellas, and outdoor dining table and chairs and sun loungers.The Stables annexe offers a games/cinema room, with a 3in1 games table, (Pool, table tennis and air hockey) 75″ TV screen with HDMI cable, BT Sports and Sky, ample seating, music system with bluetooth enabled Bose Speakers, bar and bathroom with shower. There are two luxury sofa beds so this room can become bedroom 11 if required.There are two ensuite bedrooms in the Annex, they can be twin or king size beds (zip and link).

Widcombe Grange is a lovely, large Victorian stone built house and cottage sleeping 24 guests in 12 bedrooms. It’s an excellent house for a large group to stay in comfort, with space to be together to dine, cook, play and have fun. It’s set in 23 acres of stunning landscaped grounds with woodlands, lakes, orchard and paddocks. The heated swimming pool is open May – September in the walled garden where there are loungers and picnic benches – there is a hot tub in the courtyard for all year round enjoyment. There are 7 bedrooms in the main house for 14 guests and 5 bedrooms in the cottage for 10 guests. All the ground floor rooms in the main house are large enough for your whole group to enjoy and socialise together. The dining table seats 24 in comfort and is wonderful for a celebration dinner.The coach house is a great games room with table tennis, pool table and table football – it is also ideal for after dinner dancing for a large group of friends or family. It is also licensed for weddings along with the pergola outside on the ornamental pond.

The space
Widcombe Grange is a wonderful big house that’s great for groups with lots of entertaining space inside the house and loads of space outside in the 23 acres for activities & fun. The swimming pool is a lovely focal point in the walled garden, where you can have a barbecue too, or play games on the adjoining lawn. The hot tub in the courtyard by the house is a delightful spot for relaxing and chatting with friends and family.There are 2 lakes, one with a waterside pergola and the other (larger) lake has a rowing boat. We are able to arrange catering and activities for you during your stay, if you want to make it extra special. We have 25 years of experience of helping guests enjoy a fabulous time in our houses, so do get in touch if you have something particular in mind.

Off the hall, is a fully equipped kitchen together with utility areas for fridges, dishwashers & extra cooking space. The drawing and dining rooms are where guests can unwind in comfort and style with a roaring log fire, amid many antiques and family portraits. The more energetic will love the Long Room for a game of table tennis or pool.The party room.Leading off from the dining room is the air conditioned party room with an integrated sound and lighting system, which is ideal for staging your own disco and can also be used for formal presentations. There is also a wide screen TV, great for movies or watching a big match.First floor.There are seven bedrooms (and 6 shower/bathrooms) all reflecting fascinating and different aspects of the history of the house and Quaker family. The space
The history of the house stems from the Quaker origins of a large west country mill owners family. The house also shows the families early associations with banking, mountaineering, ski-ing, and railways. First built by Thomas Fox in 1797, currently owned by Ben & Victoria Fox, it has been enjoyed by the Big House Company guests for 25 years. The history of the house has been blended into a delightful space for groups to enjoy time together with 2 large dining rooms, 2 sitting rooms, a games room and a party room.

Getting in:
Guests have sole use of the house and grounds. We have a small office onsite, manned during the week, so that we can provide information and assistance if required.

Please ensure that children and animals are supervised in the grounds at all times, due to the unfenced waterway and the hot tub.

Berry House, fabulous large house with hot tub in Devon South West

Berry House is an elegant Georgian house on the dramatic North Devon coast, with lovely countryside and coastal views. Berry is great for up to 24 guests in 10 bedrooms. The interior is delightfully furnished, elegant and comfortable. The dining room has a table large enough for your whole group to eat together with ease, it’s great for a special celebration meal. There are squashy sofas in the drawing room where you can enjoy the roaring open fire and a TV lounge if you want a big screen event. For extra entertainment there’s table football and pool table. Outside, there is a large hot tub and barbecue area. The large bedrooms are all individually decorated to a high standard, some with en-suite and all first floor bedrooms have views over the surrounding countryside. Two of the bedrooms and a bathroom are on the ground floor, if accessibility is a consideration for your group.The games barn adjacent to the house provides great indoor fun with table tennis, basket ball and 5 a side football. The pebble beach is just a short walk from the house and there is a pub in the village too.

The space
The History.Its origins date back to mediaeval times, but the house was enlarged and completely remodeled in the 1760s to provide the home for the land agent of the neighbouring Hartland Abbey Estate. Workmanship was to exceptionally high standards for the time, including fine paneling to many of the rooms. The house remained remarkably untouched until acquired relatively recently by the present owners who have undertaken its painstaking and sympathetic restoration in 2006/7. Great care has been taken to retain the historic character of the building whilst discreetly incorporating the best modern services and to provide a great sense of contemporary style without the feeling of being ??too new!

The house can accommodate up to 30 guests in 12 en suite bedrooms and one children’s bedroom. Balinakill has a large garden with a cedar wood hot tub and BBQ area and is close to the beach and a full range of outdoor activities. Balinakill is ideal for groups of family and friends of all ages, corporate groups, special celebrations, get togethers and weddings and we are pet friendly!We are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Kintyre Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland.

The space
This is a grand victorian country house which has many original features including an oak panelled drawing room with a grand oak fireplace, a victorian dining room with open fire, original cornicing in most of the large public rooms and bedrooms, a conservatory room with a piano and pool table and a cosy private bar which you stock and run yourselves. The house kitchen is very well equipped for catering for large numbers and there is a separate catering kitchen should you wish to hire caterers for a special meal or for your entire stay!

Getting in:
The whole house is yours! The only room which is locked off is the catering kitchen – for caterers only – should you wish to hire contract caterers durng yor stay.

The space
A perfect retreat, Crayke Manor is regarded by many locals as the most beautiful home in the County. Not only the cosiness and solidness of the Manor itself but the way it proudly sits in its 17 acre surroundings. Near enough to the nearby village to stroll to the pub and far away enough to have ones own privacy and tranquility.

Getting in:
Guests can have access to the 1 acre garden, 16 acres of grounds and the stables. Whilst the Manor contains 9 x bedrooms, it can feel just as cosy and welcoming when only a few of the bedrooms (say on 1st floor only) are occupied. For larger groups, there is also a 1-bed cottage (sleeps 2) and a 3-bed cottage (sleeps 6-10) on-site as additional options (not included). Please note that use of the covered barn for an event warrants an extra charge -please request further information.

Extra bits:
Guests have enjoyed tailoring the occasion to suit their tastes; dressing-up the covered barn, erecting marquees on the lawns etc. Should you wish to come and visit the Manor prior to any booking, you are most welcome to do so. The space
Welcome to Fawley Court! Set amongst beautiful gardens in the heart of the Wye Valley, your group will be stunned from the moment they arrive at Fawley Court. Whether you choose to spend time with the family, relaxing by the fire or celebrate in style and enjoy some drinks by the pool, your time at Fawley Court will become treasured memories!Inside the house, you will find our ‘Great Hall’, with a huge fire place and seating for up to 36, you can really dine in style!
