The Manor is a Grade II listed farmhouse, set in the rural setting of Shiningford Farm. The private hot tub and log fire make for a relaxing countryside getaway for up to 19 guests.Shiningford Manor is a traditional countryside house with exposed beams, a log fire, and a farmhouse kitchen that features an AGA (and dishwasher!) to make for easy self-catering.With 9 bedrooms & 3 ensuite bathrooms and 3 further shower rooms and is dog- & family-friendly.Each bedroom can be arranged as either a twin bedroom or a double bedroom, just let us know your preference.The Manor also provides a lounge, kitchen and dining room.There are 3 buildings at Shiningford Farm, which share the outdoor swimming pool. This is open until 31st October, and then will close for winter as it is unheated. Shiningford Manor has a private garden and hot tub, that is open all year round.There is also car parking, and a shared garden at the front with a children’s play frame.

Getting in:
You’ll have exclusive use of the house, although the number of bedrooms and bathrooms left open for you is dependent on the number of guests in the reservation. For Xmas we can accept 3 households. We’ll open up 1 bedroom and bathroom for each 2 guests. 8 bedrooms can be twin singles or double rooms and two have extra single beds, the 9th bedroom is single, just let us know what you require.

The Manor is a pet-friendly venue, with an extra charge of ?20 per dog.We ask that dogs are kept off the sofas and beds. The space
Pekes Manor is part of our ‘Distinctly Different’ Pekes private estate, centred on this ancient Tudor Manor House, and including other picturesque buildings like its old double-Oast House. Guests at the Manor house can enjoy facilities such as the games room, summer croquet & badminton, and the heated indoor Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi & Sauna (all shared on a Rota system) the Tennis Court & children’s play area, and stroll around and enjoy the extensive gardens and parkland. The Pekes estate, well away from any road, is set deeply into the very quiet and peaceful Sussex Weald farm lands (organic – no sprays), and has beautiful views across ancient unspoiled countryside. Beyond that there is the stunning coastline, the seaside towns, historic places like Battle and great houses and gardens. The once forgotten, traditional Welsh farmhouse, is immersed in both history and beauty, sleeping anywhere from 6 to 16 people. The space
The house and its 3-acre gardens are perfectly secluded so you are guaranteed peace and tranquillity. An indoor swimming pool, woodfired hot tub along with a games room and tennis court provide plenty of activity for all ages. Meanwhile, a large garden room (complete with fruiting grapevine), antique dining room, and 30 x 30 ft living room with a wood-burning stove make the house a luxurious, comfortable setting for large gatherings. Cooking is a joy in our large, farmhouse kitchen which boasts an Aga and Belfast sink, whilst our well-proportioned bedrooms (all with their own bathrooms), fine artwork, and antique furniture create the ideal atmosphere for a relaxing holiday. The sleeping accommodation is spread throughout the main, historic part of the house, a swimming pool annex, and a separate bunkhouse with its own kitchenette and dining area. We do have a sofa bed available as an extra sleeping space (If you wish to make use of this you will need to provide your own linen to use it)We have just newly installed a hotel-grade heating and plumbing system so lots of hot water and no cold showers!The grounds of OGM host a tennis court with a viewing pavilion, a sunken garden, a covered BBQ area and many secluded seating areas.The gardens feature stunning views of the Black Mountains, Hay Bluff, the magical Skirrid Mountain, rolling hills, farmland, and on a clear night ?? the Milky Way. Holidays at OGM are magical throughout the year, thanks to our array of outdoor and indoor activities on-site. The indoor, under-floor swimming pool provides endless entertainment, particularly as, when closed, it doubles up as a great indoor play area.

We share the driveway and farmland with our neighbour. Please stick to the area surrounding the house only and the public footpaths. If you have dogs, please make sure to shut the main gate at the bottom of the drive before letting them run free.

A hedge round the garden provides privacy. This side of the house is accessed through electric gates. (The code will be supplied after reservation)We have built a swimming pool and patio on one side of the house. This is only for use in Summer, when we heat it to 25-30 degrees. There is also a hot tub and large patio area with 3 tables and plenty of seating. A gas BBQ also.On the other side of the house is a mature parterre and sunken garden. At the back of the house, (front as you approach it!), is additional parking for 6-8 cars behind manual gates and flower beds. A garage block has been built in the grounds. This has a tesla charging point, which is available by prior request (a small charge will apply) and an annex above. The annex has a double bed, sofas, shower room, Kitchenette and is available by prior booking for an extra charge.

Getting in:
This is our own home and we would close off one downstairs room to house most of our gear etc. The rest of the house would be available for use.
