Clopton Courtyard is a beautiful series of unique barn conversions, which overlook a tranquil courtyard in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Countryside. With access to a wonderful wood burning hot tub and gorgeous views of the countryside from the back of the property, this is a perfect place to celebrate, relax and unwind. With Cambridge just 20 minutes away by car, Clopton Courtyard provides an excellent spot from which to explore this historic city.
The space
Clopton Courtyard is set in the midst of the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. The six barns have been built with an eco conscience, with timber frame structures and recycled building materials. They are also fuelled by a biomass boiler using renewable energy (which keeps the underfloor heating toasty warm). Each main barn has its own unique name, character and style, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an open plan living area and kitchen. Matilda Studio offers open plan living and sleeping, while The Sheringham Hut provides a contemporary glamping space. There is also plenty of outdoor space in which to venture and relax, with lovely undisturbed views of the open countryside. You can sit and watch the horses in the livery next door or read a book in the sun trap courtyard.With Cambridge only 12 miles away (15-20 minute drive), it is easy access into the centre by car for those wanting to explore this historic city, but looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday or work environment. There is also plenty to do locally, with Burwash Manor and Wimpole Hall close by, along with lots of tasty gastro pubs.Clopton Courtyard is fully equipped for those looking for self catering accommodation but who want a little bit of extra luxury and peace. Getting in:
All communal areas including wood burning hot tub (except Sunday night & Monday day), BBQ facilities, large dutch barn with picnic benches and views of the country, the courtyard and any barns that you choose to book. Please note that during the pandemic our hot tub is open every day but access is only between 5pm – 11pm.
Extra bits:
Please note that we have an 11pm outside curfew. Therefore, any evening socialising must take place inside after this point, with windows and doors shut. This is to avoid other guests being disturbed and also to ensure the nighttime is peaceful for the horses in the livery and our next door neighbours who are elderly. We do not under any circumstances allow outdoor music or PAs at any time during the day or evening. If these rules are broken and we receive complaints from other guests or neighbours regarding your group, an immediate ?100 fee will be charged. A ?70 fee will also apply if our check out instructions are not followed and any excess cleaning is required. We have had problems in the past with guests not following these rules so now feel it is important to share this in advance. Please share with the rest of your group to ensure everyone is made aware of these policies. We want everyone to enjoy themselves but it is essential that all guests have a lovely stay, whether they want peace or wish to celebrate. And we must respect our neighbours.

Set in majestic parkland with views down the Eden Valley. a prettier setting is hard to find. Peace and tranquillity.Staffield is a gateway to the lake district national park and Cumbria fells. The accommodation is thoughtfully arranged with linking apartments to give privacy and space. You have wonderful gardens and woods to enjoy and explore and use of our new HOT TUB too.
Getting in:
You will enjoy exclusive access to Staffield Hall and its grounds and gardens.You will only see occasional visits from our housekeeper, gardener and team during your stay.Arrival time is from 4:00 pm and check out is by 10:00 am. Access is by way of coded door locks and the code for these is issued before you arrival by Email.

Fantastic country House that can sleep from 2 to 22 in a Beautiful Lake District setting. The property is surrounded by 2 acres of land with river running through. Sit out on the balcony and enjoy a drink with great views or enjoy our Barrel Sauna and outside Hot Tub. This House is ideal for Family party or a party weekend. We can provide a Chef to cook evening meals or A fantastic Breakfast so please book the house for great weekend or a Full week or even longer
The space
The property is run during the week as a B&B. You will have full access to all 9 luxury rooms, as well as the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The feature bar can be stocked for you starting from ?300. Each of the rooms is en-suit with a shower, feature bath and WC. The rooms also include sofa beds which can be used for extra bed space. There is a BBQ out on the patio You will be able to use the Hot Tub and Barrel Sauna which is located with views over the valley.

This is a carbon neutral development and all heating is supplied by the estates own coppiced woodland at no charge to the holidaymaker. In addition, much of the electricity comes from a renewable source.All logs for the wood burner are provided free of charge.Guests use the hot tub and pool facilities at their own risk, and due to harsh chemicals used for maintenance purposes some skin types may react. Please note the pool is heated, and available from Good Friday to 31st October, but is weather dependent.Pool towels are provided.Guests who are using Great Higham Farm as a celebration venue should be aware that music is only permitted until 11pm. Please be respectful of neighbouring properties and refrain from making any noise after this time.BBQ’s are coal fuelled – The coal is not supplied

The space
Balvonie House was built in 1906 for a wealthy Glasgow family. The rooms are appropriately roomy with high ceilings and beautiful features. The house has been subject to a full 10-year renovation to restore and enhance its unique features while bringing it into the 21st century. Each room has been uniquely designed by an interior designer to showcase the proportions and period features. Thankfully, modern heating & plumbing keeps the house just as toasty as you want it to be. There are also 2 wood-burning stoves to add to the ambiance.

Consider Balvonie your own while you’re here. You will have access to the entire house to use as you wish. Explore the grounds to discover the Halket Burn that runs through with its own corner of preserved ancient wood. Bring your wellies!
